Over the course of the next few months plans that have been on the table for awhile are taking shape as we move forward in the epic saga known as SpaceHogs.net.

New content on each of our existing topics will be added to the member’s area covering YouTube, Squidoo, and Craigslist.  Our unique MySpace related content is also on the chopping block, with plans to update & revamp everything that’s currently in the member’s area.

We’re also adding a great deal of content on a popular topic these days known as Twitter!

The Twitter Report that’s currently available for free at TwitterHints.com as well as all of the videos included in the TwitterHints.com “Deluxe Videos Pack” is also going to be included in the SpaceHogs member’s area at no additional charge to existing members.

This is going to add a great deal of increased value to our loyal members, and also help boost conversions for our faithful SpaceHogs affiliates.

Plan to see these scheduled changes being implemented in the next 30-90 days depending on how it all plays out… I just wanted to give you a quick update on how things stand at the moment.

Just want to bring you in the loop regarding some pretty serious updates that are underway as I type this message.

First off, all of our content is currently being rewritten and more importantly updated with the assistance of a professional writer.  Between the knowledge we’ve shared with our new writer and this project she’s been working on as far as making things more readable & interesting, spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc… she’s going to be a top web 2.0 expert by the time she’s done!

The second big update is that a professional programmer we’ve been working with is also going to be “re-skinning” the entire members area to make it a lot more organized and intuitive for you stinky hogs.

Right now there is so much content jammed on the main members page it’s like a giant train wreck of content revealing web 2.0 marketing strategies.  Once the programmer hashes things out and gets under the hood it will look much more organized and easy to follow.

Hello SpaceHoggers,

I have some important affiliate updates along with some crucial tips to help you get the most out of our affiliate program.  And when I say the most, I mean the most commissions of course… :o  First I will talk about some of the important changes we’ve made in the last few weeks and explain why they will benefit you!

The biggest change we have made so far is switching our payment processor from 2Checkout to PayPal.  (Don’t worry, your affiliate links have not changed). We made this change for several reasons, most notably:

* Lower fees

* More suitable refund policy for a digital item

* More benefits for affiliates

The main reason we decided to switch was to combat the refund junkies.  I can’t tell you how frustrating it’s been to see people purchase a membership, download everything we have to offer, watch all the videos, and then ask for a refund!  I can tell they took full advantage of EVERYTHING we had to offer by simply looking at my access logs.  This project took us over 3 months of hard work to put together and this was basically like people stealing from us… under our old payment processor, 2Checkout, dishonest customers were able to ask for refunds within 30 days without even having to say why…

A full money back guarantee is one thing, but when people are downloading thousands of dollars worth of information and resources and then asking for a refund you can throw that guarantee right out the window as far as I’m concerned.  Now that we’ve switched to PayPal we will also be following a “No Refund” policy.  This will prevent serial refund requesters (a.k.a. refund junkies) from stealing our product that we worked so hard to put together.  This is also good for affiliates because it means we can pay you your commissions much faster without having to worry about the customer asking for a refund on an order we already paid the commission for…

The second biggest announcement in this affiliate update is the release of our new rebrandable report titled “Profiles For Profits.”  You can download this free report with full giveaway and resell rights from the affiliate’s area OR from the member’s area.  The instructions on how to “brand” the report are included with the download.  In case you’re unfamiliar with rebrandable reports this means that you can basically change all of the links in the eBook that will drive readers to the SpaceHogs site in a way that will earn you affiliate commissions for everyone you send here who ends up purchasing a membership.

The next topic I’d like to cover is our new price points.  We have slightly changed the price points for new memberships, this was also a necessary change after we switched over to PayPal.  The most notable changes are the addition of a few more membership options which will make SpaceHogs appealing to everybody, even those on a budget.

Monthly members who sign up from now on will not be setup with a recurring billing.  Up until now, when people joined under the monthly membership they paid $67 up front and then $10 per month.  From now on monthly members will pay $77 up front and after 31 days their membership expires all together, at that point they can either renew for another $77 or quit.  We’re hoping that most people will eventually just upgrade to a lifetime membership as it is clearly the most value for the price.  We also have two new membership options in addition to the monthly and the lifetime options… members may now choose a one week option at the cost of just $37 or they can go for a 6 month option currently selling for $97.

We have noticed that many affiliates are beginning to earn nice commissions on one week memberships and our sales are up again now that visitors who would have never joined in the first place are taking the less expensive route and getting 7 days of SpaceHogs for just $37.

The final thing I wanted to touch upon in this update is the new & improved affiliate’s area.  I neglected the affiliate’s area for the first few weeks and finally managed to squeeze some time into my schedule for the sole purpose of getting it updated.  I’ve added download instructions for our rebrandable eBook and I’ve included my top five tips that I’ve personally used to make a nice income with affiliate marketing.  Please login and read the updates because there is some important information there!

We are no longer encouraging any affiliates to market SpaceHogs on MySpace due to many complaints from MySpace users that accounts are being phished, comments spamming, bulletin spamming, and message spamming.  If you want to promote SpaceHogs please do it outside of MySpace or your affiliate account could be in jeopardy.  If we receive any complaints about affiliates using these extreme blackhat techniques we will be forced to take action against those affiliates because your actions as a SpaceHogs affiliate reflect directly upon SpaceHogs.net…

Well we made it through that first month my little piggies!  And what a great month it was.

A lot has happened of late.  MySpace cracked down a bit on the bots, patching the existing Captcha workarounds.  There was that hole in the group invites for a few days…before it got patched.  MySpace imposed new daily limits on just about every action.

All that and there’s still a ton of dough to be made marketing on the site.  There will be roadblocks, but they’re just diversions and distractions, they really don’t change any of the basics that still work just fine.

In the member’s area we added 2 new special reports for you.  The first was a special report for bands interested in using MySpace to market themselves.  This could be a big pull for those of you in our affiliate program.  Next we completed and are readly to roll out the viral “Profiles for Profits” eBook that can be rebranded and given away or sold to make you even more money!  We have several new resource site type codes and generators that are currently being added to your resource area too.

What could be next?  You’re not going to believe it, but it gets better!  This next month we’re rolling out our Platinum membership option.  This is going to include a MySpace related website that is already made for you.  You rebrand it with your own Adsense ads, and other revenue generators, and get started making money.  It’s viral too, everyone is going to want to use it, and no it’s not a resource site  :D  And there’s money to made from the site as it stands, with no Google or other revenue streams!  It’s going to be an incredible bargain for those of you that are already members as an upgrade option, and will definately be worth the cost.  Look for it soon, in the next few weeks hopefully.

Hang in there SpaceHoggers as there is plenty more to come.  More scripts we’re having coded for you to use, MP3’s you can listen to to learn more and use them to generate revenue driving more users to SpaceHogs as an affiliate, more videos, more sites, more, more, MORE!

The site has been live since Halloween (10/31/06) and is moving along nicely.  We have nearly as many affiliates as we have members which is a good sign that this site will continue to be an attraction when it comes to MySpace marketing!

Wow, what a launch!  Mr. Black and I have have been so busy we didn’t back here to leave everyone a post about the launch.

First, we’d both like to say THANK YOU to all the affiliates that did a fantastic job promoting the initial launch.   Literally thousands of dollars have been generated so far in affiliate commissions.

Second, if you haven’t promoted the site yet…what’re you waiting for?!  I’ll forwarn you, we have several heavy hitters in the IM world that are going to be rolling out their promotions over the next week.  Chances are if you have people on your list…they’re also on these Super-Affiliates lists as well.  So, you may want to make your pitch before the “big boys” do, or you may lose your chance to make your commission on them.

Mr. Black has been working feverishly on updating the sales page with a “don’t leave” exit popup, adding quality testimonials and implementing other suggestions made by some of the more successful affiliates as to how to increase conversions…and guess what?  IT’S WORKING!  Conversions are up for those that are actively promoting.
